Birmingham based recording artist and songwriter NAMYWA releases new pop heart-throb ballad SOLD, written by NAMYWA, produced by Swedish Producer Hannes Anderson available on all online streaming platforms from Friday 11th February 2022 (11/02/2022) taken from her Debut EP titled Post Traumatic Wisdom.
Hailing from Birmingham, NAMYWA is an international recording artist, performer and songwriter speaking truth to power, with a fearless lyrical approach to subjects that mean alot to her. NAMYWA’s music is inspired by artists like Amy Whinehouse, Daina Gordan, Paloma Faith, Macy Grey and Tina Turner. Using life as a muse, NAMYWA writes songs that deliver on true emotions, surprising listeners with a voice and aura way beyond her years, blending genres of R&B, Soul, Jazz & Pop music.
New single SOLD is an exploration of love’s questions, heartbreak and self-worth. The EP Post Traumatic Wisdom addresses experiences of being kicked to the curb from a long term relationship.
After the initial stages of shock and denial, comes pain, guilt, anger, depression, reconstruction, acceptance and then hope. NAMYWA's debut EP Post Traumatic Wisdom is a musical depiction of the seven stages of grieving a relationship.
The new single SOLD has elements of Pop and Soul genres. NAMYWA's pen game leaves listeners with a true recollection of the painful questions, tear-jerking, tender moments in the midst of ‘falling apart’. The single SOLD wrote itself, after hours of raw, unfiltered conversation in the studio with Swedish Producer Hannes Anderson in Stockholm.
